Radica 20Q Electronic Ball

This item is directed at keeping youngsters upwards of eight years of age entertained, but I found it intensely good fun - and I am 47 ! Think about an item and then let this gizmo guess it by asking twenty questions which you reply as "Yes", "No" "Sometimes" or "Unknown". Naturally you know how it works but it is still capable of often superb you when it comes up with the proper answer. As an example I was staggered when it guessed "cauliflower" as the object I was thinking about, when its interrogating did not seem to be heading in the right way. When i was younger i used to play the game "Animal, Mineral or Vegetable" which forms the root of the 20Q game. You played with a friend and one of you had to think about an object while the other had to raise questions to discover what it was.

The question answers were restricted to yes or no answers. On the positive side 20Q is a tasty unit.

It sits nicely in your hand and is straightforward to operate. The sound can be switched off, and there's a handy backlight for low light levels. I also like the proven fact that it quickly switches itself off when not in use. 20Q is always going to throw up some fun queries and responses and therin lies the entertainment. It could be a shockingly socialable toy too. Some questions may be more obviously phrased and can be terribly tricky to say anything.

As an example, would you assert a banana is "flexible"? Does it roll? Is it straight? How about a dog - would you "use it daily" ( it's got a fixation with 'use' of things ) ? And often it appears to waste questions. This small widget, not too much larger than a golfing ball, is brilliant for keeping children occupied on auto journeys, in waiting rooms etc and so on.

There are no little parts or additonal items to become lost down seats or on the floor, there's a back light for when it becomes dark, it takes up hardly any room and needs minimal movement. It has so many options like is it an animal, plant, mineral, object or unknown? It has a choice to employ a back light and you can decide to use sound. The single thing that's barely bad is that it asks the same questions when you choose the class. Overall, I suspect this is a wonderful buy and it is superb value for the cost. I'm so satisfied I acquired it and I'm sure my buddies will be doing so shortly.

As one with an eight-year-old child I would say this has demonstrated to be an entertaining device but it is good to bear in mind that it is just a toy. Must complement Amazon for delivering it so fast just before Xmas , as it was always intended to be a stocking filler and something to keep the kids occupied ( read : QUIET ) while I seek rest and recuperation. It comes up with the answer most times. Just as you believe you have beaten it, bingo - the word you thought about appears in the window. Its nice and compact so you can pass the time on the bus, tube or train with this fascinating item.
